| ....Have you ever heard of water torture? A person is put underneath a dripping water supply and they are left there for a very long time. The water continues to drip in the same spot and eventually that person will go crazy and I'm fairly certain that it can lead to death as well. That is what I'm talking about, torture. |
people die from water torture?
I don't think anyone dies from pain. I think they die from the damage done to the body. Its why torturers pull out teeth and fingernails, chop off fingers, etc. Little bit of damage, lots of pain.
The only way you die is from blood loss or infection. Not from the pain. |

Broken Heart Syndrome disproves that premise Or, it can be argued that BHS is caused by sadness. Well, sadness is arguably a form of pain, right?
Why am I arguing with myself? Why not? Kidding _________________

| Ok. Let me rephrase my statement. Yes you can die from pain as long as that pain brings on a heart attack or something similar. You can't die from pain itself but you can die from the results. |

If ure a healthy person and being exposed to extreme pain for a period of time your internal organs begin to shut down which obviously can lead to death.
People with weaker organs (like weak heart of instence) will die faster because their heart can suffer much less pain then the healthy person.
It takes just one main organ to take out a dragon
btw, you can train yourself to resist pain by exposing yourself to pain, this will let your body be familliar with pain and therfore welcome it as a natural phenomena.
In many martial arts the students hit each other to literrally kill the superficial nerves that alert the brain to deliver pain stress to the body. this makes them more resistant to pain and makes them not to feel much pain (if any) while reciving blows. Also, this act trains your mind to be more familliar with pain.
Hope that helped,
tony xD |

| Well, pain is actually a conscious alert, telling us that our organs or tissues are damaging so that we could take action to cure it. But if we don't take any actions, the organs or tissues continue to damage and the pain continues. |
