there used to be a lot of iron ore in Sweden. Or maybe it has something to do with glacial rocks deposited in other parts of Europe during the last Ice Age. For example, on the island Texel in Nederland there's a big glacial rock that originates from Skandinavia.
But I'm just guessing. |

This could be the 'magnetic stone'.
I bought some from a supplier that was cut and polished and mounted on gold plated medallions. These stones came from the Swedish Lapland near the north pole.
They are officially called the 'Magnetic North Stone'.
It is a variation of 'lode stone' and distributed by
North Stone Jewelers.

It's mentioned in this article
http://keelynet.com/energy/moreland.htm
Apparently there was a fellow named T. H. Moray who made some sort of radiant energy receiver in the 1920s with a mineral he found in Sweden called the "Swedish Stone." |

Well, that sure is a lengthy article.
These were radioactive stones from all appearances, but the article says these stones are compressed to create the magnetic nature of the article stones that also eliminates the radioactive component.
I do not know if my stones are natural but 'lodestones' are natural.
Anyway, those medallions make a nice piece of jewelry.
