Just a suggestion to make this place a little more lively, can someone please post a new topic to talk about. I don't want to be forced to start a thread on the thermodynamics of a chicken laying an egg

    Thanks.

Ha, it has been a while.

It's been my observation, over the past 6 month to a year, ALL forums have been declining in registered membership and participation, including political forums, where I spend most my time. Actually, you have not been doing all that bad, as several are down to 5-10 post per day, while a couple have just gone off line.

I'm not sure any new categories would help. You already have a couple catch all forums, where breaking down would IMO, not likely ADD interest.

One like science forum 'The Original' and a sister to this one 'Philosophy Forum', have or are trying a gimmick, which I feel could draw both interest and registration of members. IMO, both these two efforts, have failed for the used formats, too controlling. Basically a 'One on One' locked debate between two members with a predetermined post/time limit, when the thread itself is unlocked for comments. A Sticky used for people to challenge any one or all members (including moderators) in a debate on a specific issue. No reward, no designed winner, the following debate the only means to determine any results. If, this interest you or any other poster, I'll be happy to go further...
