This may be private and none of my business but where the hell is Kalster. It's like he just up and vanished. Did he get abducted by aliens or something? I haven't seen any activity from him on other forums either.

    Did somebody piss him off?
    Was it something we said?

No, dear lady, It was most likely something that YOU said.
Some days, you could piss off the pope.

seriously, seagypsy, thanks for noticing and caring

I think you didn't think this through. It looks like humor, but it comes across strongly as your certainty that S.G. caused his departure.
Either way, I think blaming anyone for another members absence is folly and best avoided.

Pissing the Pope off is easy for anyone. He is the easiest person in the world to offend.

But do you realize what you are saying by blaming ME for his absence. It's quite insulting to Kalster. Considering Kalster has the authority to ban people, and the fact that I WAS banned, but not by KALSTER, suggests that HE did not feel the urge to do so.

But suggesting that rather than banning me, that he ran away from the forum because of something I said, implies that my influence on him was pretty damned impressive. It suggests that he had to care a great deal about what I think and/or say.

I avoided suggesting it was something I said, even as a joke, simply because I didn't want to come across as being that damned arrogant to think that I was so damned important to him.

I never imagined someone else would think Kalster saw me as so offensive that he had to run away but not offensive enough to permaban. Do you really think Kalster is that pathetic?

i don't recognize christ or god but I'll forgive you anyway, even though the disclaimer was posted 10 minutes after I asked "what disclaimer?"

Ok... so your "disclaimer" includes a sexist comment. Since the poster in question is a woman, you must compare her contributions as "knitting."

I'd a said welded that fabric together, but the thought of a whole bunch of people running about engulfed in flames kinda precluded that

It used to be "mmmm, mmmm, Hammmmm's!" (Remember Jack Brickhouse?)

    Now it's "mmmm, mmmm, Mmmmen".

I had the same thought, so I messaged him a few days ago; he is indeed ok, just rather overwhelmed by several large projects at his workplace. He said he will be back on TSF and TPF as soon as his schedule permits. So nothing to worry about

Thanks for the heads up. I had sent him a PM on here but got no response. I know his direct email address but only by accident. He inadvertently responded to a pm from it once. I don't know if that was intentional or not. So I don't like to use people's personal email addresses unless they specifically say, "hey email me at blahblah@blah.blah."

At least he will see we have been missing him when he gets back.

    I live!

Thanks for caring guys. Sorry I didn't respond to your PM Seagypsy. I meant to and it got lost in the wind completely.

Sorry for having been absent for so long. I have indeed been very busy, but that is not really an excuse to not show my face at all. I'll endeavour to participate a bit more from now on.

I see my stuff is still all there in my locker. Good.

No need to apologize, sometimes real life MUST take priority over a net presence. Just glad to know you aren't dead.

    Welcome back.

In an effort to avoid appearing like I am buttering up to Admin:
You smell. It's the only reason your absence was noticed. The lack of bad smell.
