You know how the Like button appears when you move your mouse cursor? I can't get it to show up at all when I'm using my Android, which I often post from. Can someone change the Like button so it's a permanent button that shows up all the time? Sometimes I want to Like other people's posts and I feel bad.

I don't want to do that annoying message board thing of quoting somebody else's post and saying "Me too!" or just repeating what someone else said using different words, which can make it look like we are ganging up and trying to bully those with opposing viewpoints. I have seen this get out of hand on other message boards. I just want to be able to Like a post from my mobile.Thanks.

No. I meant it. Honest. It bugs me too. I can see the link on my phone (sometimes) but it doesn't do anything. I assume that is because it is "magic".

'Mouse over' effects (e.g. the 'Like' button) are not compatible with touch-screen devices (e.g. phones, tablets).

Web sites should avoid them unless there is some reason that their website will only be viewed from a non-touch-screen device.
(imho: I don't think they are a good way for users to discover content - regardless of the device.)

Thats seems like an irritating problem, if they can't fix it perhaps you could just make a list and then give out the likes when you are back at your computer. I have to be careful as I have the opposite problem at times, if I press the button twice then I can give out 2 likes to the same poster for the same post. Post 78, I gave out 2 for the same post.

I didn't know you could do that. I wonder what happens if you "unlike" it; if it removes one or both...

It is a shame it says "Ascended and Ascended like this" rather than "Ascended really likes this"

Edit: for me, the post above now says:
You and [ARG:2 UNDEFINED] like this.

BTW congrats Strange, you're the first person I've seen to pass a thousand likes, now that's impressive.

Yeah, thanks... I refreshed and suddenly had 30 new like notifications... sadly, they didn't count nor add to my total.

    Rats.

Anyway Neverfly it's not like you really need them you have over 500 and you've only been here 4 months, that's probarbly some sort of record.

If you go by percent of likes against posts made, I think SeaGypsy gets the record, actually, her 'like to post' percentage is 25%. Which is a huge chunk.
    Mine is a lowly 18%.

That isn't a fair measure of things though really because someone could make 1 post recieve 3 likes and then they running at 300%! No I think if you've got a lot of likes like you and Strange then it just means you are managing to make a really good contribution to the forum which is being noticed and appreciated by other people. I also just wanted to point it out because now and again it's nice for people who don't go around blowing their own trumpet to have other people notice when they are doing well.

Hey, as long as all their blowing while running around here is their own trumpet, we're all better off.
