Several posters have noticed missing posts- including myself.
It's one glitch of many, including Missing sentences within my posts.

Seriously- a single full sentence will vanish from a post, time to time.
And not posts that were edited, by myself or a mod, either.

Report troubles with missing or vanishing material here.

I'll check the database and make sure parts of it have not gone corrupt. Thanks for reporting.

Post #30 in the Matrix thread said the same.

There are certain little glitches that pop up from time to time that I tell myself to remember to address later but always forget to do so.
I figure maybe a catch-all thread might help with that... But the accusation of hiding posts seemed heavy enough to want attention.

I checked the database and didn't find anything which could be the cause of these incidents. Still looking into things.

Some posting glitches can be avoided by previewing your post before posting. Instead of posting a quick reply, choose the “Go Advanced” option, where you can find the “Preview Post” button. This shows you your post exactly as it will appear when you click the “Submit Reply” button; if any glitches appear, you can edit your post and remove them manually. It only takes a little extra trouble. Of course, if you’re only posting a short reply, by all means use the “Post Quick Reply” button – but if your reply is a long one, then I think it’s worth the trouble of previewing what you’re going to post and making any necessary corrections.

Another option, particularly if you’re only making a text-only post, is to avoiding typing your post in WYSIWYG mode. Clicking the button on the top left switches the text editor between WYSIWYG and source. The WYSIWYG editor isn’t all that reliable. Occasionally some formatting isn’t done properly, and you get stray HTML tags in your post.

That's a good temp fix until the cause is determined and corrected, but I doubt Admin wants the forum to act in a way that makes those hoops necessary to jump through. Just makes for a bad user experience. Established members will likely be patient and wait it out but new people will perceive problems and not bother to give it a chance. And new ideas being brought in is what keeps a forum alive. We don't want to stagnate.

Speaking badly about people after they are gone and jumping on the bash the band wagon must do very well for a low self-esteem.
