I've been using firefox with its auto-spell checker long enough, that I have become reliant on it for spelling. While I use ta spell all done proper and such....I now share the same spelling ability as this guy:

Since my return to these forums, I have noticed my firefox spell checker doesn't work in the reply boxes. What's weird is Sciforums uses the exact same forum software and it does work there. Is there a setting or something that I need to check to make it work, so I don't spell like a 3 toothed redneck?

    Fixin' shit that ain't broke.

Yeah I had the same problem with FF.

I found the solution - though it's not very elegant

    1. Click "go advanced" (usually a good option anyway)

    2. Type your text

    3. Right-click and deselect "spell checker"

    4. Right-click again and reselect "spell checker"

It was good for me - how was it for you?

That worked...Hurray! I done can spell all proper again!

Ahem..I mean...(puts on monocle) I'm indubitably delighted that my fortuitous arrangement of letters is compliant with the standardized format of grammatical convention.

I've found when I'm done typing if I select one of the smilies from the button at the top next to the big A, it activates the spell check and you can make your corrections then delete the smilie.
