After my most recent Java upgrade I have started to receive security warnings when trying to enter Live Chat.

The first warning states. "The application's digital signature has an error. Do you want to run the application ?"

When I respond to run it then comes back with "Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern." And "Block potentially unsafe components from being run (recommended)." When I respond with "yes" it then failes to load the Live Chat application.

Does anyone know what the security issue is that lies at the heart of this ?

Lacking any further information I tend to accept security recomendations from Java and my anti-virus software.

I get that error sometimes in Chrome when I'm going to my university site. I think I even got it at a Microsoft site once.

I just click through it and answer "yes" since I trust the sites. I didn't get the error / warning on clicking the Live Chat though. Was able to log on and see that paralith is there lurking in the dark...

This one does not seem to be coming from the browser (IE8) but rather from Java itself.

Apparently Live Chat uses some code written by a guy in Belgium. While I think I generally trust the site, I am not sure I trust the guy in Belgium.
