In a section of the forum called 'A Scientific Study of Religion' I posed a serious and honest question regarding comparative analysis between the Christian Trinity and Hindu Polytheism.

I was shocked to find a little later that an Admin Staff closed the discussion before it could begin on the grounds that ''This isn't a topic of Science''!?

What then is the purpose of The Scientific Study of Religion Section if not to compare, analyse, give opinions and share one's knowledge? Is this a sign of the true scientist, to close off a topic because he or she is unwilling to continue at the cost of other people free choice?

    Oh well!

It appeared to be more of a question of "theology," that invented study of religionists, rather than a serious, scientific question of religion.

I'll review it again later. If my opinion of it is changed by more careful reading, perhaps I'll restore it. In the meantime, please read the forum posting guidelines for The Scientific Study of Religion.

I reviewed it again and see nothing scientific in the OP. I, of course, have an opinion on the topic, but it simply isn't framed in a manner which is either to scientifically explore religion or discussion on the interaction of science and religion.

As is framed, the OP is a theological issue. Theology isn't recognized as a legitimate scientific method of study.

The topic remains closed. Thank you for your participation and welcome to The Science Forum. Please feel free to open/start other threads.

This is a chicken and egg situation! Unless one can start a discussion we will never know if it had a scientific basis of enquiry. I came here to share and learn, but find already, far too much censorship in asking very basic questions which are aimed to further human understanding.

Anyhow, hope you guys and gals get what your seeking, this isn't the place for me!
