    I heard that Nostradamus predicted 3 anti-Christ.

    First is Napoleon,
    Second is Hitler and
    Third is Mabus?

Mabus is a persian warlord that will start WWIII. What do you think about that?

Nostradamus did not specifically designate anyone as the anti-christ, his vagueness is part of his longevity

When Hitler and Napoleon came as you say Anti-Christ, Christ didn't came back! So they aren't Anti-Christs, or are they?

    I think its BS

Write a book with a large number of mysterious rymes, and if people look hard enough and long enough they will eventually interpret what they want as being a prediction. Over time various people assign the closest match to events, and as years and decades advance more and more prophecies appear to have been predicted.

Its the Forer effect and rationalization, and explains why some people believe in Astrology

I think we're onto the fourth or fifth anti christ now. There have been so many terrible terrible people throughout history that did such atroscious things to other humans. Actually I think we're on the 20th or 30th by now.

    Well said

There seems to be a trade-off between vagueness and concreteness. If a prophet says "something bad will happen sometime in the future" nobody's listening, but if he says "tomorrow the world explodes" and nothing happens then clearly the fun is over quickly as well. Nostradamus seems to be on the right spot on the continuum.

Most religious prophets are a bit more towards concreteness ("earth created in 7 days", "earth rests on a giant rabbit which rests on a giant turtle", etc), I guess this gives them more popularity temporarily until the most concrete of their predictions are falsified.

So maybe astrology and nostradamus-type stuff will outlive organized religion.
