I'm curious , how many here regard or take onboard any of the ideas in Shamanism ?

It is actually is the foundation on which every religion , new age or esoteric idea came from and yet I find it amusing that its relevance seems markedly obscure compared to the more dogmatic ones.

Also I'd be interested to hear what others thought about the ideas of illumanaries such as T. Leary, T. McKenna, M.Talbot who wrote about this in numerous books ?

Might be easier to answer if you provide a few.

Basically , I'd just like to know if any ones tried to verify these ideas, concepts for themselves .

Whethers it McKennas Spore Theory of Evolution , Learys 8 brain circuit theory or Talbots Holographic Universe ( although this was not his theory ) or any others that interests any one or are relevant to their work .

I do think more people should know more about Shamanism, not as a way to manipulate the material world, but as a way to interpret perception and the human condition. I guess I am a fan of Joseph Campbell, Manly Hall, Carl Jung, and maybe some others. If you had caught me perhaps six months ago, I probably would have had an enormous interest, but as it happens most of my energy is diverted to math these days. I just wanted to post encourage you.
