Whats islam's/Christianity's/Judeism's view on...

1-Robots?
a) Should they have human rights? If an artificial intelligence robot says he wants to convert to Islam can it do so and does it have a soul?

b) If robots are created by robotic factories and sent into the middle east to kill in war zones and whoever created them kind looses control, are the robots considered as evil no more no less as a sub-munition bomb?(or is there some 'thou shall not..something' on top of that)


2- Genetic Engineering?

a) If a unwanted GE mutagenic virus changes a Beleiver's genetic code transforming him into a Pig (lets say he cant speak or write but retains most of his memory and his intelligence) does he still have a soul and can he still go to heaven or is he excomunicated?

b) A GE Chimp with a human brain genome that is intelligent can read and write reads and writes about the holy book, prays and worships your god, and wants to join the religion officially, does he have a soul and should he be accepted as a member of the religion?

c) For those who's religion forbids eating pork, is it ok to eat GMO meat if you are unsure if it contains some pig genome?

I am an atheist, true, but I can answer your questions correctly (mostly at least).

They wont accept it, simply because it's an abomination and it's proof humans have "played god."

Equal evil as "thou shalt not kill" on any level. Although there are exceptions (killing infidels, etc). However, the robots are "against allah", and thus will be considered evil no matter what.

the bible doesn't cover situations like this. Assuming it was accidental, and cannot be reversed, he still retains his human soul and thus can go to heaven/hell.

Humans playing god, etc, etc. but this is more of a cliff hanger, some might say that he is no longer an animal but human, thus will go to heaven/hell.

c) For those who's religion forbids eating pork, is it ok to eat GMO meat if you are unsure if it contains some pig genome?

It will be divided. Stricter ones will say no, more liberal will say "yes". Others "depends".

Does than person permanetly transformed with porcine physical outer appearance have the right to marry? Or have offsprings(assume the testicles or ovaries were not modified and he/she would have human normal babies)? Would that be beastiality?

If someone else is hungry, kills that pig while its being transported to the court for a circus show trial about civil rights and then eats him, is that more of a crime than if he had killed and eaten a typical pig?(that didnt belong to him)?

All normal laws apply. That would be considered beastiality.

ROBOTS

Christianity..... has no problems with robots no matter what kind.
Judeism.......... again has no problems
Islam.............. Forbidden, and if found, the head will be cut off and the robot family will suffer. Praise Allah.

Genetic Engineering

Christianity...... has no problems.
Judeism........... again, no problem.
Islam....... It is unlawful and forbidden. The persons eating such foods will be made lesson. Allah knows best.

Bettina is making kinda unfair comments. Well now most of the ethical and religious debate about where to draw the line on GE is done by CHRISTIANs if any of u guys din notice. Therefore saying christians hav no problem with GE and only Islam's God will forbid u from going to heaven is not a fair statement for the Islams..... even though i'm on neither side of religion

Not entirely, my assessment of the religions was a hell of a lot more fair than that. GRanted, muslims would definitely be more strict, but saying that christians/jews wouldn't do anything is downright stupid.

Lets just say I was injecting a comical tone based on truth.

But... I'm a realist so it wasn't stupid. For example, In the robotics part of the question, the Jewish and Christians may have issues but will not stop progress nor will they kill you but Islam will. Remember, if it is forbidden and you ignore it, you will be "severly punished" and I know what that means. I can get you all the links you want.

But jewish/christian extremists isn't something we see on a regular basis and hence thats what sticks in our heads, i couldn't name five christian extremists off the top of my head :wink:
