As a jehovahs witness we believe in the bible as gods word.

I have pointed this out at all times. In debates we try to offer opinions, NOT make up arguements others have not made. This is called strawmanning as in a strawman arguement.

If you want to talk maturely them pm me and we can chat on msn. But please refrain from taking foum debates to a personal level, im afraid shows you in a bad light.

I thought my questions were something you'd enjoy answering. I've been here for around 7 months - the people that frequent this forum and are familiar with me know that my thread for you wasn't meant as anything personal. Instead, what I did was give you a door to knock on.

This is not the first time I have made such a thread. I addressed a question to a former member called billco in the history section a while ago.

My thread entitled 'Questions for Truth1010' surely doesn't show me in a bad light. But this thread of retaliation created by you most likely reflects negatively on you....

You should think about that.

The forums are for everyone to debate, therefore they should never be aimed at one person.

Im afraid this does put you in a bad light. I post on most threads that interest me and have offered you the chance to pm me with any questions.

This would be enough for most forum suers but you clearly have a problem with the normal use of forums.

He took advantage of that opportunity. Instead of a PM, here everyone can benefit from the discussion. You're a hypocrite. You say you want to 'witness' to everyone and in the same breath you would rather PM in private.

You started the thread by saying something i had not said. This is called a lie. Its important to debating in forums that all users avoid doing this. I dont like people who use this tactic and few people do william.

Could you have simply said in that thread that you didn't agree with the questions in the first place?

I did not say that the JWs don't believe the Bible! I was asking how you would answer those questions, like how do we know that Jesus is the son of God, if you were talking to an atheist or a Muslim, both of which don't take the Bible as the truth. Are you not capable of understanding this? Why can't you understand this?

Actually, let's drop it. After observing your acumen, I wouldn't value your answers anyway....

Truth you kind of come across really sarcastic and passive especially with the insults. what do your insults accomplish? nothing. what do they do? try to bring people down. this only puts you in a bad light, not william. at least to me. maybe to you they make yourself think you are winning some battle. the only battle you doing is yourself cause william just trying to help. hope you can see that now.

Truth1010, no offense, but I don't think you understand what's written very well. I've seen evidence for this in other posts of yours addressed to other people.

If you have any doubt as to what's being said, you might want to ask for clarification first instead of reacting too quickly.

Truth, what I was asking is how you would explain things to someone who didn't believe the Bible. I did not mean it to be taken that you didn't believe the Bible.

Here slowboy, I'll restate the original question so your pea-brain can understand (hopefully...).

Imagine you are talking to a Muslim. That Muslim doesn't believe the Bible - he believes the Koran. You, being a person that does believe in the Bible, are talking with this Muslim. What would you say to him to convince him that Jesus is the son of God?

Can't you understand that I never meant you to take it as me saying that you don't believe the Bible? Are you that dumb?

As I said before, I don't care anymore about your answers to any questions. If I have to explain something this simple to you, over and over and over... and you STILL don't/can't get it, then you simply are not a thinking man and your opinions aren't worth shit.

Do you at least now realize the meaning of my original question, or are you still adamant to stick with your error of interpretation of what I said?
