Saw a level headed program which factually sought out the ark of the covenant, it led to an old African drum brought to Africa by the proven preistly wing of the jewish religion, DNA testing of these african people directly relates their jewish heritage and their word of mouth story fits the dissapperence or moving of the ark. Thoughts and comments please.

I saw the same program a year or two ago. Interesting anthropological and genetic study of the people involved. I have no difficulty believing these people have Jewish ancestry back a number of generations.

However, the 'Ark' found and claimed on the program has no - absolutely no - resemblance to the Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible. If one takes the time to read the description of the Ark, one finds a marked resemblance to the movie prop in "Raiders of the Lost Ark". (Amazing as it seems, Hollywood got that one right.) Don't take my word for it, check Exodus chapter 37, starting at the beginning of the chapter and following to verse 9.

The Ark in this program may well be what the tribe in Africa claims and believes to be the Ark of the Covenant, but is at best a 'substitute' construct. I'm sure it is - was - cherished by the ancestors of those current people, but it misses the description of the original by a wide margin.

Nor do I believe the Arc is actually hidden in a remote temple in Ethiopia or Sudan, both nations with remarkable Jewish traditions. I further reject the claim the Knights Templar moved the Ark secretly to a castle in Scotland where it resides beneath a massive floor of stone.

    It's just flat gone.

The universe is a real place. However, you can't see it, you have to imagine it. Like it or not, God designed, built and sustains the Universe. Deal with it.

There's virtually no evidence that even the Exodus happened, much less fanciful details about miraculous events. Beware "level headed programs," about events that more than likely never happened.

information resource here for the qualitive truth of cash (Money) There was once a stone perhaps African that represented the whole meaning of money and that years ago stones were used to trade. One stone was so expensive it was priceless. Back to the ark, Is this not a light that reflects a blinding flash of light in the shape of a rainbow? Like noahs ark, is this not a boat that takes us back many years ago when the earth was water and that boad was to take us in pairs to our destination. If that boat was missing one important person that was not in a pair, example male-female then would that mean the baot would remain in the seas for eternity perhaps lost. I doubt that, light in the form of an ark could represent a brigde like shape that takes us to our next destination but how we get off the baot to walk the bridge is mystery.

The more then likely doesn't exclude that it didn't happen, therefor out of pure seeking i find such level headed programs a draw. even if it does nothing for my hunger for knowledge.

Even if Exodus is just a story, it's probably still based on something. After enough years of oral tradition, and sincere desire on the part of a group of exiles to believe they came from some grand lineage, a simple drum becomes a gold plated work of art with winged angels and magical powers.

My personal theory is that a lot of the Old Testament got written down during the "Babylonian Captivity", when the Jewish people were at an all time low and needed an ego boost from their scribes. The present moment in history is not the first time a Jewish state has been artificially created by the reigning world powers. Cyrus beat us to it.

Why did you join these forums?

You are barely coherent, your ramblings add little or nothing to any discussion.

    Lay off the guano, sir.
