I would say shes insane. Pure madness.
Difficult though it may be, we should all be spreading forgiveness and love. If we let terrorists infuse us with hatred nothing will ever change.
This is not the prerogative of Christians - there are loving and forgiving people all over the world, of whatever faith or religion.
We all grieve for those lost in Mumbai and elsewhere, but not all the terrorists are wicked and full of hate, some genuinely believe that they are fighting for their rights and that this is the only way to get their message across. Which makes it even more terrible.
I don't have a magic answer, but I know that we must love even our enemy if we want to overcome hatred.
Moon - terrorists will never leave you alone. They will walk all over you if you try to preach love. If you like being walked on and controlled.. well, thats what religious followers do best I spose.
Hi verzen.
I am absolutely not a religious follower.
I have faith but not religion, though I respect everyone of whatever religion - we are all free to believe in what we like. I personally go for a universal energy that links us all together.
I don't like to be controlled at all, but we have to find another way other than war.
That's my opinion and engages only my own responsibility.
I believe that love is the ultimate solution to all the ills of the world.
:-D
No. Getting rid of religion and promoting education is the cause to save the world from these extremists.
If we react to hatred and aggression with revulsion and violence then we are almost assured of maintaining or spreading disharmony.
If we do not react, but consider - if we can seek to empathise - if we can condemn the violence while appreciating the roots of that violence are akin to the outrage we are tempted to feel, if we can do all this, there is some hope the cycle can be broken.
You do not need to be conventionally religious to see the benefits in seeking peaceful solutions. Peaceful solutions cannot readily emerge out of violent reactions.
well, i like the part that she's actually following jesus' sayings down to every word.
jesus said "forgive them they don't know what they're doing" even as he was being hung onto the cross by the romans.
she's living like jesus to a T, so saying she is mad, is saying jesus is mad.
as for terrorists not leaving you alone... norway hasn't been attacked by extremists.
they'd probably get lost in those endless fjords of yours ...
There have been tons of terrorists that have tried to attack Norway. They keep searching for a city to bomb, but all they can find are huts... Whats a terrorist to do. :?
huts? nah.. but yeah we don't have many tall buildings:Originally Posted by verzen
