Thread: Picture of Galileo, Monk or Priest, and a telescope?

Hi. My astronomy instructor was describing a black and white picture she had seen when she was taking a Human Behavior class, and later when she was teaching Astronomy. The picture contains Galileo with his telescope and a priest or monk looking through it with an expression of great fear at what he was viewing. (Of course not a true photo, but an illustration maybe.)

Has anyone seen this picture? I have searched through Google images and through the internet and can not find anything that closely resembles what my instructor described.

Any help or link would be greatly appreciated.

It comes from a myth that Jesuits priests looked through the telescope and said the devil was playing tricks on their eyes.

In fact, the Jesuits were convinced of Copernicus theory but it was competing scientists who looked through the telescope and said thge devil influenced the image.
