Thought this was cool. High school drama club in New Jersey stages play based on 1979 movie ALIEN. Apparently they got financial help from Ridley Scott ($5000) and a surprise visit from Sigourney Weaver herself. I've also read that a local Arts school has offered $1000 scholarships to cast members and to the graduating seniors a $10000 scholarship. I'd love to see the play myself or see if Broadway tackles it. I wouldn't be surprised. Alien is one of my top 5 Sci-Fi movie picks of all time.

Alien and Aliens (Alien 2) are great films!
There were others, but I'm fairly sure critical opinion (I haven't checked recently) did not accept these later films were of the same high standard.

Excerpt: "I looked ovary and ovary, but there was no womb."

Off topic, but I just wanted to add I've never been a big fan of Science Fiction films.
However one evening, some time ago, I noticed there was a film, called "Predator" on TV.
I then saw the film starred Arnold Schwarzenegger. The action was set in a jungle in Central American.
I decided, there and then, to give the film a miss, but for some reason (probably nothing else on) decided to watch the first few minutes.
I'm glad I did that because I really enjoyed that film.
Oddly enough I haven't seen any "follow-ups" altho' I do know there is a "Predator2".
