    well if the phatom time hypothesis is correct that would suggest we're in the year 1717 currently and not in 2014, which technically would mean in 297 years the world will end.

    assuming that phatom time hypothesis is correct, and if it is this time we probably should be worried.

    Even if it was correct - which it isn't - there is no reason for us to be worried.

    The truly interesting thing about the various phantom time hypotheses is not the claims themselves, but the real science behind how we're able to disprove them.
