    You know what?

    I'm a freakin nerd.

    It's true.

    No really.

I've been playing this silly game for HOURS every night for like a month and a half now, sometimes even sacrificing sleep for experience points.

If you're not aware, it's a game where you create a fledgling super-hero. Then you fight a bunch of bad guys and get cool powers and stuff. You can fly, run fast and/or leap really far and high. For some reason, I find it really fun.

    MUST!............. LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It's sad, but fun.

You have my confession, offer your own... you bastards.

Can you get really cool superpowers like being able to fart really loud or smell really bad? Or maybe something like popping pimples that spray such an enormous quantity of foamy pus that you can use it to entrap your enemies?

I bet you just get the old boring stuff like super-speed and x-ray vision. Stuff like that.

    Hey.
Remember Ant-Man? Now he was something. He could shrink to the size of an ant but maintain his normal human strength. Now that's impressive.

Yeah man all the powers are pre-defined. It's lame in that capacity, but it's still fun to finally get "fly" or "super-speed" and go from a very lame ability to move around to "wow this is fast" or "I've always wanted to fly".

In a lot of ways it's a pretty typical MMORPG, but it's very social. Teams are easy to come by as it helps everyone to team up to kick the baddie booty. Basically you have a bunch of missions and junk to do, "hunting" or PVP (introduced today in fact).

I've gotten one of my dudes up to lvl 28 and he's badass now. His job is to take and deal punishment.

Herding baddies is SO much fun. The right kind of character can run through a map and piss off ALL of the bad guys in it (which can be a hundred or more) and herd them all to one place, where you and your buds can stand AOE attack and kill all of them in one fell swoop. It's sweetness.

The reason I started playing was basically rooted in sciforums though, as I was just DYING to create a "nerd overlord" hero... with hopes of giving him nerdlike powers. I DID create one, but I couldn't make him look nerdy enough and his powers aren't really nerdlike... well, they sort of are... but anyway.

I've created three so far.... "Nerd Overlord", lvl 14; "Grey Goddess" (because I wanted to look at a hot chick) lvl 8; and "The Allmighty Dark", lvl 28. Dark is the most fun to play, because teams pretty much ALWAYS need a guy like him to take the aggro. He draws the attention of the baddies and keeps it on him as much as possible during battles because the other characters can't take the damage he can, but some can deal MORE than he can.

Nerdy nerd nerd nerdy nerd. Bah. I'm a child.

    Pfffttt.

No one has nothin' on Luigi. Remember Mario 1 when it first came out?
Beat it. Took me 2 years.
    Mario 3? Beat it.
    Took me 1 year.

But that cocksucking Mario 2, spent almost 3 or 4 years on the bitch and never beat it.
That is my secret, I cannot beat Mario 2.

How old were you when the mario games were popular? You must have played them either very young or after they were obsolete, yes?

By a strange coinicidence, I too have beat them all except for Mario 2. Mario 2, unless I'm mistaken, is the one where you can play the princess and the mushroom dude, right? Where you pull radishes out of the ground and all that? Know why I never beat it? I thought that game was incredibly gay and cheesy. I did make it pretty far before tiring of it though. Hmm. I may have beaten it.

Anyway. Mario 2 sucks. Don't let it get to you.

What about Zelda? What other nintendo games...? Fester's Quest? Life Force? Mike Tyson's Punchout?

    Wes,

It's time to break out the photoshop and make some 100x100 avatars. Should we start a new Wes collective? Not.
