I made this test up on Sciforums a while back, and figured that I'd give the people here a go at it. Do you have what it takes to prove that you know your Science Fiction?

    2. What is Captain Kirk’s middle name?
    3. The character Scourpius (From Farscape) is a hybrid of two species. Which two species are they?
    4. Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman both joined together to make this book.
    5. What are the aliens from V on planet Earth to get?
    6. Aragorn son of ______. (Fill in the blank)
    7. Anhk-Morpork is a fictional city in a series of books. Name the author and the series of books.
    8. Which StarGate: SG-1 character died recently?
    9. The name of a Klingon sword that is used in battle.
    10. Buffy the Vampire Slayer lives in this city.
    11. What’s the name of the main character in the book Stranger in a Strange Land?
    12. J.R.R. Tolkien based his books on myths from certain cultures. Which cultures?
    13. What type of Starship is Voyager?
    14. Name three series that the SciFi channel has canceled.
    15. What city is The Matrix suppose to take place in (Not where it’s filmed, but the location of the fictional city)?

I don't want to sound insulting or patronising, but was it really worth posting the five out of nineteen answers that you knew? You could at least have made a guess at some of the others!

If Coffee's still around, I'm querying my result - I make it nine. Plus a half bonus point for the author of Stranger in a Strange Land!

Can I be frank? I really don't care. BTW- it's 7/19 answers. More specifically, (6 I knew, and 1 guessed) . I hope I didn't sound insulting or patronising. Remember, we're both being candidly, Silas.

    1. Who wrote the book I, Robot?
You are most likely looking for Asimov, Of course the "book" is a collection of Short stories written over several years with some connecting filler. The Title "I Robot" however is not original to Asimov's anthology, it was first used by Eando Binder for his 1938 short story, which was later made into an "The Outer Limits" episode twice. To give Asimov credit, he was against using the title for that reason, but the publisher over-ruled him.
    2. What is Captain Kirk’s middle name?
    Tiberius

    4. Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman both joined together to make this book.
    Good Omens
    5. What are the aliens from V on planet Earth to get?
    Our water
    6. Aragorn son of ______. (Fill in the blank)
    Arathorn
    7. Anhk-Morpork is a fictional city in a series of books. Name the author and the series of books.
    Terry Pratchett, Discworld

    9. The name of a Klingon sword that is used in battle.
    Bat 'leth

    11. What’s the name of the main character in the book Stranger in a Strange Land?
    Michael Valentine Smith
    12. J.R.R. Tolkien based his books on myths from certain cultures. Which cultures?
Well, I know that Finnish is one. (High elvish is based on the Finnish language)

    16. Why is the Moon blown to bits in the series Space: 1999?
A nuclear waste dump explodes. But the Moon is not blown to bits, instead it is thrown out of Earth orbit and into deep space.
    17. Place these curse words with each show:

    B. Frack
    Battlestar Galactica
    C. p'tahk
