Hi all,I would like opinions on the outcome of a war between Cybertronian Transformers and current military tech.At first I was thinking that the Transformers would whip our butts but if you had full use of the military against seven Decepticons they probably wouldn't last too long, right? So how would you build the Transformers so that they would be absolutely superior on the battlefield? A friend of mine said that they would have near impenetrable armour, but wouldn't that make them hugely vulnerable to kinetic weaponry? The harder the armour the more kinetic energy is transferred to crucial internals in a critical hit?Thoughts?

Well I have to say I would probarbly make them much bigger than they currently are, say may'be 300 or 400 metres tall, I guess that would make them harder to destroy also you could make them invisible with some sort of predator style camouflaging technology.

You can imagine them as real-life tank. Tank is invulnerable to all known kinetic & heat round except at top, side or behind. -if tank would have this weakness then it is because of a tradeoff between weight/engine/fuel or something...

I don't think transformer can wear full heavy armor. Else they would be too heavy and broke their leg, or broke the road they are walking on...

But if they could on water, underwater, air, space, land... they would be able to carry heavy armor and manuver defiantly in space

But if Sam Witwicky can hold a stadium size Cube on his hand then it must be very light --> all Transformer are plastic light.

Can this be moved to the science fiction section as it has NOTHING to do with military technology

Not all who wander are lost... Some of us just misplaced our destination.

Tactically, they could already defeat us and easily. Even if it was just one of them acting alone. They just stay up in space, and just hurl meteor-sized rocks down on the Earth from there. Our space propulsion technology is so elementary compared to theirs that we'd never realistically manage to get anything up there that could hit them.
