    Hey all.

If i need help on my book, and you are willing to help out, i will ask questions here. (There are so many section on the forum, so i thought Id make one thread for all the questions i may have)

If my book turns out to be accepted and released im willing to credit you all for helping me out. Dont want to spoil anything but it is a science fiction book.
I just finnished a novel which i turned in to a publisher (on which im awaiting response, which should take 4-6 weeks) but this is a much larger work. The story is in my biased eyes, brilliant, as
is the characters. But time will tell if it will be a failure or my magnum opus.

First question is, what is considered the most holy place for each religion on earth? The main villains in my story intend to use their newfound weaponry to destroy each one, to demoralize the world and show of their newfound power.

Wrong or right, if everyone believes it, it isn't a lie.

You wouldn't need a weapon in the conventional sense. All that's needed is a way to observe the past and broadcast it to as many places you can think of. A holy location is a good spot to start, if not just for effect. Just prove your observation method works then it's goodbye religion...but only for some, not all. Religious zealots will continue to believe and in their mind you will become Satan or a reasonable facsimile of.

Observe the past? Is called history or archaeology or paleontology. Destruction is simpler, based upon observation.

Yes, being able to observe the past, not things from the past. If you can show someone what they were doing 10 minutes ago then I think you can get their attention. I thought the book was about destroying religion, not the people. Destruction hasn't hurt religion one bit, based upon observation.

Agreed. Martyrdom is like that, as history has demonstrated repeatedly. Would be pilgrimages to the Holy Impact Crater, most probably.
