Why might the diamond of the diamond ring seem so large?

Can astronomers explain why the diamond of the diamond ring of the solar eclipse might sometimes seem even as large as the solar disk itself?

Overexposures. Have you seen it with your own eyes?

Were the overexposure the right reason of the enlargement, then all the Baily's beads should be enlarged. No doubt, the enlargement of all the Baily's beads would give a ring with many diamonds such that there would be no probability to see a complete black disk during the totality as long as the overexposure is used.

No, the images have been taken just before or just after the full eclipse. I have tried to film this incident with my camera myself during the last total eclipse. It was always overexposed, unless the eclipse was fully evolved. Even the tiniest rim of the photosphere is much too bright for the cameras. The bright halo you see on the other side in these images is the much fainter solar corona. I already told you before in other threads that you cannot draw any conclusions from images found on the web without knowing exactly what they show, how they are made or processed.
