Take a pendulum and hook magnets up to it so the pendulum continually repels back and forth on its own then take copper wire and use the motion to generate electromagnetic energy Power the grids, power the electric automobile industry, heat your home.

Hooray, MAGNETS and FREE ENERGY again! I'm surprised Tesla is not mentioned.

But I expect this is spam. Ban, maybe?

Take a junk yard magnets that pick up automobiles and use a titanium pendulum to repel back and forth and you could generate a hell of a lot of power.

MODERATOR NOTE : This has nothing to do with electronics. Moved to Pseudoscience, which is what "free energy" really is.

If free energy is always so simple, why does no one have a working system?

Because of the conspiracy by the oil multinationals, the US government, er, the Illuminati and, er, er, the Illuminati, to keep us poor. You fool.

Silly me, thinking it had something to do with grotesque violation of accepted laws of physics. I should have known it was... OBAMA!

Free energy devices already exists, some of them are called Solar Panels. The sunlight is free energy.

Physics is lazy. It's stop producing energy the first chance it gets.

Get a pendulum between two magnets and it'll eventually come to a rest in the middle between them, as all you're doing is making the magnets fight against each other for the pendulum's affections. They'll eventually get bored because pendulums are famous for having commitment issues.

Also we have oil, gas and uranium in the ground, which is "free" energy too.

The point being that the costs always come with the extraction, conversion and distribution of energy into forms that are useful to us.

But this idiot is in a class of his own. He doesn't realise that the energy in a pendulum runs down if you extract it by means of electromagnetic induction. All part of the pseudoscience of "magnets" that fools seem to fall for with depressing frequency.

Well maybe you have uranium and oil in your back yard , but I dont, I have sunshine, hence why I categorize this more as a free energy than oil or uranium.

Pendulum magnet devices make me thin of someone whose identity will be protected, who wants wind power cars, "because when you drive on the highway it creates wind", which should make anti-aerodynamic wind mill turbine create the energy to make the car move at a speed that makes the air flow a resistance factor. I have given up on explaining why that doesnt work (you could have a sail, or a system that relies on external wind if any, but not the energy caused by your own cars moving making it move ).

Not too different to a thread I recall from many many years ago on GLP (well known woo-ish forum) about a guy with a wind driven generator on his house truck, charging the battery for his lights or something, while he drove. (Bit like the pop-out emergency generators aircraft have.) The number of folk who thought that was "free energy" was astounding. (It might have had actual benefits, but "free" wasn't one of them.)

Ok guys, what you do is stick a powerful magnet on the front of your car, then you get another powerful magnet on the end of a fishing line and dangle it out the window in front of the car. The magnet will pull the car forwards. Free energy, guise. The oil companies have been supressing this for years.

But, but, but….don't you need a pendulum in there somewhere??

These perpetual motion or free energy clowns are mystified by magnets, due to their invisible force of attraction and repulsion and by pendulums, due to their apparent perpetual motion (aided by the clock spring but we don't talk about that).

They have failed to learn (a) the difference between force and energy and (b) Newton's First Law and the role played by friction in everyday experience.
