Apparently the Mayan Apocalypse having not happened hasn't cured the loonies eschatology fans.
We've got a new ZOMG! End of the world soon "threat" on the way.
Doomsday fanatics claim that a 12th century prophecy states the successor to Benedict XVI will be the last pope before the end of the world.

On both sides in time from Jesus to Jonestown groups have predicted the end of the world--the former still continues to be accepted by hundreds of millions. It seems to be an all too common pattern.

The resignation of Benedict XVI while he is still breathing is rather iconic, I gather. Perhaps this latest 'prophesy' is merely symbollic of the decline/demise of organized religion, in which case one might only hope for some accuracy.

I heard about this. It is based on the "Prophecy of the Popes" Prophecy of the Popes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Apparently the successor to Benedict XVI will be called "Peter the Roman" and will reign over the end times.
    Fixin' shit that ain't broke.

People who believe in doomsday prophecies like this need to be..

    ..culled.

For the good of the rest of society.

I mean, they would only be getting what they wanted anyway - the end of the world (to them) so who is going to argue?

Kill all doomsday nutters now! Don't let them breed! They water down the gene pool with their empty heads!

Or at least sterilize the fools.

    don't need to kill them..

    just give them a door..

the sign would say 'Enter to be saved from End of world'

of course we would have to cover the old sign..
