VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:I am here to talk about science not to preach..but with my experience in science i found that all sciences tell us that there is a great creator who designed this universe Accurately not randomly..so if you want to be a blind and stubborn it is up to you man take the facts and nothing else Mr. Blind.

Iron is one of the elements highlighted in the Qur’an. In Surat al-Hadid, meaning Iron, we are informed: [MORE]

Excellent advice. Let us do exactly that.

What would have been amazing is if there had not been aware of the value of iron.

This is because modern astronomical findings have disclosed that the metal of iron found in our world has come down from the giant stars in outer space.
This is, on the contrary, clear indication that the author of the Qoran did not understand the mechanism involved.
To state that the iron was 'sent down from the sky' implies clearly that the Earth was already in existence. If it was not, then there was nowhere for the iron to be sent down to.
However, we know that the iron was assembled along with rocky materials to form planetesimals, which in turn gathered together to form the Earth. By the time the Earth existed in a state to which iron could be sent down the iron was already here.

The numerical value of the word “Al-Hadid” in Arabic, in other words its Abjad, is the same number: 57. The numerical value of the word “Hadid” alone is 26, and 26 is the atomic number of iron.
You seriously want to claim this as science.

my response again is that this belongs in the religious section, surely all you posts are for you to point out what YOU feel is written in the koran and how YOU believe it predicts everything thats happened, thats not science, thats faith

Words like Miracle dont belong in science they belong in religion

Please put all these kinda posts in the religious section, where they may go down better

Maybe im the only one who thinks this, but when have you ever seen the teachings of the koran taught in any science lesson in colleges, universitys or "proper" sciences books

Theres a reason for that....... :-D

alas Ophiolite :x your level in science is not good....try to ask a scientist about that and he will tell you that it is imposibble that iron came from earth ..........

All elements from Iron till Uranium came from space ....

    I am happy to oblige.

Point 1: All elements, regardless of which, came from space. The Earth formed from condensation from the accretion disk that surrounded the proto-sun.
Point 2: You are correct that the elements, other than hydrogen and some of the helium, were derived from earlier stars.
Point 3: (You really should re-read my original post.) By the time the Earth was in a form to which iron could be sent down it already contained a substantial portion of its iron. Your Qoranic quote you make so much of requires that the iron be sent down. How can you send it down if the Earth does not already exist. Are you proposing a miraculous version of planetary accretion that witholds the iron until after the Earth has been formed?

I am giving you the benefit of the doubt. I am assuming you genuinely did not understand the argument. If any part of it still remains unclear to you please ask for clarification. I really don't want to see you using strawman arguments in defense of the indefensible.

I am really shocked that the moderators have not removed this thread, I come to this forum for scentific discussion and idea's, but instead I and others, are treated to the tirade of a religious zealot who's only reason to post is to promote his/her beliefs.

I have however decided to reply to his/her original post with an unbiased and supported scientific answer.

When huge ancient stars that had reached the ends of their lives they exploded. These supernovas cooked up all the chemical elements we know today including iron, carbon, gold and even radioactive elements like uranium. Over time, gravity took hold, and this cloud of dust and gas collapsed into an enormous rotating disk: the solar nebula.

In the center of this disk, temperature and pressure rose, and our sun, was created. Eventually, gases like hydrogen and helium were swept to the outer edges of the disk, but closer to the sun were dust grains made of the heavier elements (including iron).
All these particles are circling around the early sun in tracks, and occasionally grains traveling nearby will collide, with enough collisions, the particles grew into pebbles and pebbles grew into rocks and as the rocks grew larger, the stronger their gravity became. Eventually the gravitational attraction between these bodies, caused them to coalesce and in time, gravity shaped them into small, round planets, or planetesimals, just a few miles across

Eventually, some of these planetesimals grew as big as our moon. And then they combined to form the four small, rocky planets closest to the sun: Mercury, Venus, Mars and Earth.

At this point the Earth was a big droplet of melt just floating in space. When you have a totally molten object like this, the heaviest elements—and that includes things like iron—would sink to the center of this droplet, and the lightest elements—things rich in carbon and water for instance, or light elements—would float to the surface.

    I don't like censorship.

I think it is important that the illogical claims of profahmfaw be fully exposed. There are some who might be swayed a little by his claims. This way they can be shown up for the nonsense that they are.

Yuu can't argue with these guys, they only have one book, to them it perfectly explains everything. I've no doubt that many passages in the Qu'ran such as 'God gave a great gift to man' is a religious 'catchall' which could be interpreted as anything from 'intelligence' to toenail clippers.

I see Ophie's point and to an extent agree with it, but as a scientific forum much more of this might lead some to see it as no more than a joke.

I guess captain, it's time for the rest of us to come up with more important things, and perhaps engage this fellow only in the religeous section perhaps if his 'out of order' threads are ignored......

I have survived for 70 years without Islam. If you are unhappy that those who try to engage in debate with you have feet still wet with primordeal protoplasmic sludge may I suggest you engage a higher intelligence, say earthworms? I am sure you will have more in common with them than us.

    profahmfaw,
you have completely failed to respond to the technical points raised by professionals.
you have indulged in personal insult.
you have descended into preaching. (It was not a long trip.)

Therefore, I have moved the thread to pseudoscience. I shall not move it to Religion. It seems fairly clear that I have more respect for religion in general and Islam in particular than you do.

no no no. dont tlak about the lower casts
our happines is how we make life. a person who see life from the good side is almost allways happy, im one of them. those who look from the dark side will almost allways be sad. its your persinality. but we in west are leaving industrial society and moving to information society so this machine human is soon gone here.
Islam is the worst religion i have ever seen. and lets not forget it a de-evolving religion causing humanity to evolve back to apes
