Forgive any poor writing (I am just going to ramble here)
I heard that our TV broadcasts will travel threw space forever. What would life on another planet think, when they saw Arnold S. hovering in a jet, then shooting a rocket into a building. While inside the building there is a man with a atomic bomb trying to kill him ?
I think that those aliens would be very scared of us. And if those aliens evolved from an animal (that does not commonly kill each other like humans and chimps) They could be really, really scared of us. I think that it would be a good idea not to send violent programing into space.
If aliens were around I think they would be watching us, they might not allow us to evolve to the point were we could threaten them.
Would intelligent life from another planet care about us ?
Maybe they would care about us, as much as we care about chimps. (and as a whole we dont care about chimps much)
People talk of space ships crashing on earth. You would think that a alien space craft would be more reliable than our modern passanger jets. How often do these jets crash? (not often)
Maybe for a alien space ship to crash, it would be a very rare thing, or there would have to be a whole lot of them around to have the odds of a crash.
Lets assume that you could build a space ship to travel 5x the speed of light. How long would it take for a alien to get here from the 50 nearest stars. And if these aliens came to visit Earth, how many years (b/c of relativity) would pass by on their planet. If aliens came here from many, many, many light years away, maybe so much time would pass on their planet everyone they knew would be gone when they got back. (maybe they would just send a probe.)
I have thought that if (extremely violent) aliens with simular technology to ours, came to invade Earth they might make a base on mars, to prepare for an attack. And maybe we should have some way of getting a hygrogen bomb to them. But then, they could just sit outside our solar system and hit us with a biological weapon.
Lets just say that stars with planets and oceans and breathable air occur about 100 light years apart. So if aliens were traveling from star to star, even at a speed faster than the speed of light, the aliens would be stuck inside a space ship for 20 to 60 years between stars with oceans and breathable air. My point is that, if a alien is stuck in a space ship for 20 to 60 years, they will want to get out and stretch their legs (just like we stop at rest areas in long car trips.) I think that if alien animals were traveling from star to star, there would be a great desire in them to at least stop at all planets with oceans and breathable air, so they could just get out of the space ship and just feel the wind, look at a ocean, and just be in a natural wide open space, and out of their semi-cramped up space ship.
I have actually heard storys that some European government had ordered their military aircraft to fire rockets at UFO's. Some one should tell the worlds militarys that if you ever see a aircraft that looks to be from another planet ( DONT SHOOT AT IT.) These aliens will have superior weapons, and we would not stand a chance in a fight.
Just some of my thoughts on aliens.
