The theory is light from a shell above cascades down and causes gravity g = quantity of light / 4Pi r-squared.
Now light coming from the sun has a blue shift because it rides the downlight down to earth, so the sky is blue. This shift like Doppler Shift to do with stars.
A star moving towards us shifts the light blue and the star moving away from us shifts the light red -- correct me if I am wrong.

Hence, if we shine a light at the bottom of a dark multi-story skyscaper then on top we should detect a red shift?

Now this proves gravity is an electromagnetic phenomenon -- doesn't it? Because the downlight affects light of a similar nature.

PS The sky is said to be blue due to blue light being scattered in the upper atmosphere but doppler shift is just as plausible a theory. But in any case, right or wrong, it is irrelevant to the proposed test for shift in a man-made source of light. The only question is whether a skyscraper distance will produce a dectable shift. Or a light sent up to a satellite and down from one?

Also light from stars near the center of galaxies shows a red shift -- that is, light from a source deep within a strong gravitational field.

Now light from a star moving towards us in theory steps the same distance in each step but is flung faster toward us and so we perceive the steps as a shorter distance and a shift in colour. Now then light that is moving within another light source in the same direction acts in much the same way since it is flung faster toward us.
Similar logic for a star moving away from us and a light moving against a flow of light.

I am seeking supporters for a qualitative basis of science, not quantative. Quality: precision, shape, color, pitch. Quantity: power, size, brightness, volume. A quality can be found as a ratio of quantities. Mass is a quality.

No. Think curvature of space-time. And in the case of red-shifted galaxies; think conventional doppler effect.
