    hello everyone, i visited to this side of the forum to ask you this one simple yet inaccurate question.

    Pseudoscience, quite simply, is fake science. This can be on purpose or intentionally fake, or it can be unintentional as a result of just poor education.

    Pseudoscience will often have "scientific sounding" terminology and jargon used to support central claims. A key indicator is when you hear or read the words "mainstream science" as described in a way to set it apart from the topic at hand.

    I have a good document at home, along with some links, that I can share that covers hallmarks of pseudoscience that are key indicators. They're adpated from Bob Parks Voodoo Science.

    I'll try to get this for the thread when I get off work this afternoon.

    You could also look up Carl Sagan's Baloney Detection Kit.

    I would highly recommend Sagan's A Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark. Great read on pseudoscience.
