Get a new one, theres no such thing as a cheap option when it comes to computers, and price is such a huge factor will quality. If you get a decent processor you need decent everything else.

i agree, my computer is decent I spent a lot of money on it and now cant afford a decent processor so u know, but I guess its the only option so thx!

I actually slightly disagree.

Yes if you are looking at getting top performance then absolutely your system is only as powerful as the weakest link (usually HDD or RAM) but the reality is for most people that they are running very basic systems that will see substantial improvements in performance when upgrading to even the entry level processors currently available on the market.

If you’re upgrading from a P3 to even an Intel E2160 (available for less then $100 AUD) then you will notice fundamental improvements in your system (but then of course you will need a new MB ext..)

I think you just need to go for new processor. I think there is a lot of processor nowadays that have cheaper prices. Don;t just buy the recent processor because they will surely cost more .
