I was told I couldn't get scheduled for a MRI until December this year. I have , they think, a torn meniscus and am wearing a knee brace that works so so. I just can't understand why the VA hospital must make me wait that long to determine if I need an operation or not. I feel I will be making matters worse by waiting that long because I sometimes feel allot of pain when I'm walking and I have no pain medication.

So Mr. Obama where is the "fix" that is supposed to be happening for I really can't see anything at my VA hospital.

I would guess because people who can't walk at all, or can barely walk, get priority over you.

How did you injure the knee? Have you asked your doctor for pain meds?

4 months? I've been given Tylenol. I was walking up stairs and something went pop.

One more item the MRI will only take 15 minutes to see my knee.

I've had knee MRI's and they definitely take longer than 15 minutes!

That doesn't sound like a torn meniscus, but I guess that's what the MRI is for.

That's what the MRI tech told me, this is an enclosed type of MRI machine not the open type perhaps that is the difference.

That's why I need to get that MRI ASAP to know exactly what went wrong. They won't give me any narcotics for that is the policy at this VA hospital.
