It seems to me that the differences between left wing and right wing politics in the West have been artifical since the 1980's. Regan and Thatcher's crusade to de-unionise labour also convinced the left that it could no longer change society. Instead it was reduced to trying to mitigate the worst excesses of the so-called free market.

In the UK there is no difference between any of the major political parties. The corporations rule as they please and the political puppets simply get swapped when the public tire of the present show.

Is there any fundamental difference betwen left and right anymore? Is it just the the right want as much money as possible re-distributing to the elite from the workers and the left does not actively seek it (but does nothing to actively oppose it either)

The revolution is coming and the first up against the wall will be the bricklayers. (Make of that what you will. I find current politics too depressing to comment intelligently.)

LOL - The bricklayers will certainly have a lot of work when the revolution comes

All heresay. We now have robotic bricklayers, they are non-union, work 24/7, eat nothing but a daub of oil now and then, collect no benefits, are retirement ineligible, their only fear is the next generation of their own which will succeed them, working for even LESS benefits to themselves. joc

Edit: AND, the god-damned things cannot reproduce!

So much for democracy hey, I say we get rid of all the politicians and just let the civil servants give us the facts straight and let the people actually decide the issues!
