There is a Symposium of Heads of State in the Asian Sphere at the present time. Heads of State and Presidents are attending.

I do not wish to discuss that here.

Yesterday, while listening to my Radio, I was reminded the the so called "Left Faction of Australian Politics", objected so American Prescence in Australia for forward defence monitoring in the Region.

So instead of 8,700 US MARINES based in the North OF Australia we ended up with 2,320, or something like that.

Well, let me tell you something. No one in Australia was further Left than I was as a Younger man. But I rationalised. I studied History. And recently I wanted 8,700 Marines in the North of Australia.

We will upset China was the Leftist cry. I personally would accept 8,700 Chinese Nationalist Soldiers here in Australia's North, working alongside the 8,700 US Marines to ensure the Stability of the Region.

So put that in your Pipe and smoke it. westwind.

Who is going to invade Australia again? (Im not familiar with Australia so Im not sure which country is thought to be massing an armada of landing vessel and preparing to invade, though Im guessing its not Palau)

The only sizeable country nearby is Indonesia. Can't see why they'd bother. They're better off using trade to improve the lives of their people instead of yet again trying to expand territory. They're having enough bother with Papua and a couple of other groups they've taken over. Considering how badly East Timor went, they're not going to trouble us. Same goes for the Chinese and just about everyone else. They'll buy our farmland and our mines and some of our industries, why bother with anything more?

    For what purpose?
And are you the best person to be making those kinds of decisions?

Hi RedPanda. Who is making Decisions?

I want this to happen. I desire this to happen. It would please me emmensly to see one million chinese family people come to live in Australia.

It would please me if we welcomed Research and Developement Scientists here on an exchange basis.

We have 250 years of ongoing progress in this Country. China has 3,500 years of ongoing progress. We just might be able to pick up a thing or two.

Would I like a Family of Chinese people living next to me> Yes, the sooner the better. westwind.

Your reply is unconnected to my question.

I thought westwind answered redpanders question before redpander even asked it.

"I personally would accept 8,700 Chinese Nationalist Soldiers here in Australia's North, working alongside the 8,700 US Marines to ensure the Stability of the Region."

You see westwind feels it would ensure stability in the region.

This post's title is quite humourous to me, but provocative to some i'm sure... the title of the thread is shortened in the 'latest posts' thread, to read "chinese people, chinese nation, not natural"

I thought I was heading to find evidence along the lines of the chinese being aliens.

Maybe all those troops should be deployed to San Francisco or Tokyo to prevent the next major earthquake.

Maybe all those heavy boots stomping all over the place would be more of a trigger?

No, when it comes to geological stability of the region rather than social stability in the region... then I suspect a sturdy layer of heat proof plastic laminate over those entire regions would be a better bet.

For more inovative soluttions vote me for president.

    Ah.
I think I understand your opening post now.
So, what you are saying is that your political opinions have changed as you've got older.

That is truly fascinating and unique.

For RedPanda. As a student of World History and Geoghraphy going back to the settlement of the Nile Valley, say 5,500 years before the Romans in Jeruslem, and ongoing through to the Present times, World Stability has been a cause of mine. An Instable World hurts People. Starvation, the lack of Trust, The breakdown of Trade, Isolationism, all actions that interfere with the proper progress of all Nations to reach a degree of Prosperity and a good Infrastructure for the Citizens of those Nations.

Australia is in a good position to reach out and help material progress in the Nations North of Australia. But only if we have the Love and Respect of those Nations.

Now, from what I have seen and studied, Malaysia and Indonesia have not in the recent past extended the hand of friendship towards Australia.

    Why is this RedPanda?

So, to help smooth the way into the 22 Century so we understand and respect and love each other I am not prepared to risk Australian Soverientry by being weak and submissive to any Nation's Loud Mouthing and Jealousy.

Therefore I personnaly extend the hand of Friendship to the USA and to China to have a common interest in the preservation of good relations within the Region.

As for my Politics. When you have been raised on dirt floors and hessian papered walls when you have not had enough food in the cupboard, when you have been sent to school with no shoes and no underpants, then, if you think about it RedPanda, it would be a good reason to observe how this situation was allowed to happen. OK, I was a Depression kid, born in 1934. In outback Australia. one among many. But any System that would provide underpants would have got my vote. So until I was 20 or thereabouts a was a left wing Socialist. But as the years rolled on and my Understanding of how things worked out in the Economic Sense started to dawn on me, then I decided to steal underpants from the rich. Once fitted with these magnificent underpants I to became a Liberal. Not a Capitalist. westwind.

I have always found erratic capitalisation to be indicative of a particular type of mind.
You do not appear to be an exception to this.

I will leave you to it.
    Good day to you sir.

I have often found that snide put downs, especially by new forum members, are indicative of incipient pseudo-autism.
You may or may not be an exception to this.

I will leave you to ponder that.
Have a nice day Red Panda.

    P.S.
How do you feel about erratic capitalism?

Then, by your own reasoning, your reply is possibly indicative of incipient pseudo-autism.

I stand by my judgement of Westwind's mindset - and his ample posting history appears to confirm it.
He seems to be a person I would never successfully communication with - and so I stepped out.

But I am glad that you extended this conversation.
This way things can get worse, rather than just stopping.
    Good job.

Hmmm I'm not always overly observant but I think all west wind does differently is put capitals on nouns. I don't know if that's correct grammer, probably, but it doesn't seem that erratic.

You're comments to westwind seem to lack basic respect. Somethings do not need to be said or should be said delicately. It's not great to offend somebody unprovoked.

I fail to see what your offended by. Westwind seems an amiable chap to me. Why have you been so off with him?

Am I missing some subtext here?

America is no longer the great country it used to be, morally or financially.

Americas government has been taken over by corporate America.
Half of Americans are willing followers of "corporate propaganda." (Adolf Hitlers and the USSR's people, were followers of propaganda.)
The other 35?% of Americans are uneducated fools. Their brains were formed by corporate controlled news sources.

    People call America imperialists.

Imperialism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Look at how America just invaded Iraq, for oil and large US corporations. Iraq had nothing to do with Sept 11.
America's military just killed 100,000 innocent people in Iraq. These 100,000 people were men, women, and children. And America did not even apologize.
You want that military in your back yard?

Then look at how the Muslim terrorists attack American bases.
If an Arab terrorist catches wind of the US military in Australia, they will want to set off a bomb, in a public bus or train, near that US military base.
I have seen footage of these Muslims bombs going off, in public transit systems. (You do not want these bombs, being placed in your country!!!)

Why do you want a corporate controlled US military, that kills innocent men, women, and children in your country?
And why do you want to antagonize a Muslim terrorist, to place a bomb on a bus or train in Australia?

Why not join, the present honorable countries of Europe instead?
