I'm a student at California State University, Northridge. I need to interview a community leader or professor. I have tried emailing everybody from the mayor to my congressmen but nobody replies so I was hoping someone would be able to answer a few questions for me. It would be greatly appreciated. And thank you.

    1) In light of “Hurricane Katrina,” is the Los Angeles Metro Region prepared to handle a major natural disaster? How prepared is the region you live/work in?

    2) What do you see as the “most pressing (serious)” issue/problem facing the Los Angeles Metro area? Moreover, what do you offer as an alternative solution to this issue/problem?

    3) What role does “the Media” play in shaping the perception of problems/issues facing Metropolitan Los Angeles (explain)?

    4) Do you believe “local government” has a responsibility to provide “adequate social services” in spite of limited resources? What do you feel is an absolutely necessary social service for the urban core?

    5) What is the “most pressing” issue/problem facing the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD)? What solutions/recommendations can you offer?

    6) What should be done to address the issue of Urban Renewal/Redevelopment? Is there an urban re-development model that encourages collaboration among: local government, neighborhood councils, developers, and community residents (explain)?

    7) Does the Los Angeles Metro have an adequate supply of affordable housing? What measures can be taken to begin to address this issue? Do you believe race/ethnicity, class and or immigration (illegal) influence how we view this issue (explain)?

And if there is anything else you would like to add, thank you.

    Behind the enlightening rod.
You must really be desperate. Prince is no professor and cannot lead anyone out of a burning outhouse or he would surely help. Have you considered local community college faculty? Many members here do not even reside in United States, much less California.
