who the fuck is ron paul.

In other words. Since he is an unknown entity in most of the world, is he important?

No one takes Libertarians seriously because they're batshit crazy.

I can't believe he is an MD an doesn't believe in evolution. However, I agree with his belief that we are spending to much on foreign wars. I wouldn't vote for him but he's the only Republican who makes any sense.

Well there are moderate, centrist Republicans, they don't run for the candidacy because they can't win though.

I voted for him in the last election. I liked his stand on legalizing prostitution. As for the rest of his platform...... I don't know...

There are no moderate Republicans left on the national scene, and very few local ones.

There are several Republicans running, and even some not running, who are getting far more major media attention and marketing than Ron Paul - despite garnering far less and less reliable support, having much less to contribute to public discourse in the campaign, and having as little realistic chance of election to the Presidency.

Paul's ideas and issues do not fit into the plutocratic rightwing frame desired and imposed by the owners of the major media and their corporate support. So they do not exist within that media's boundaries of discussion - they cannot, even if they wish to, attend to them. He will be given the Kucinich treatment - acknowledged in mockery only - because that's all they can do.
