I was kind of flustered when I read that the European Union was nothing more then a center of control that isn't even able to demonstrate that control upon it's member nations.
But what disturbed me most, was that there was no cooperation whatsoever. No economic, militaristic or even technological agreements. So what is the whole reason for having on? Even if there is one, there is to less indoctrination present to even get that very point clear.

    What do you think?

P.s. I'm in favor of a universal government, or at least a organ for control. But not like Europe now is.

What do you mean by "control?" I'm not sure I agree with your foundational premise. After all, look at what happened with Greece, Spain, Ireland, and Portugal recently.

The problems with the PIGS I think is another example for this, they were able to miraculously wish away their debts to join the European Union. I mean, I would find it weird if a economical unstable country was able to get everything sorted out in a miraculous timing.

I think the USA is a bunch of ignorant fools, going to war against other countries. Building up billions of dollars in debt when that money couldve been used to improve the country and save or improve thousands of lives instead of killing people instead.

I think China is a bunch of ignorant fools, living closed off in a cencor heavy society.

I think God is a fool, creating so many fools in his own foolish image. That guy sucks...

    See wut i did thar?

    +1 internets to Raziell.

Speaking of the European Union (and not Europe), it has control of :

-currency (one euro to rule them all...)
    - law (60% of laws voted in country members of the EU is the direct translation of EU directives).
    - economy (currency+law = economy of its members)

    So yeah, totally useless.

The only thing we don't have is Military cooperation, because you yanks insist on protecting us for free (lol NATO).

This is exactly the beauty of the EU, because of the fact that this kind of government like union has much less power than a normal government, it spreads its power amongst the countries and through this makes it less corruptive than most other governments or government systems.

Technically the Europeans should be participating in NATO too, but they're a bunch of castrated sissies who think they can live off of the public purse at 60. But, oh well.

I think Germany is wonderfully generous to have to taken in all of its surrounding countries, let them trade in their currencies for Deutsche Marks - I mean "Euros"-, and allowing them to save face by calling it a "partnership" so they can change their laws to match the highly successful German system without insult to their own local cultural values.

perhaps being castrated sissies is why we couldn't give a fuck what preposterous macho cartoon character (north) americans think of us

curious and not entirely unrelated fact i read about germany recently: they had no intellectual property laws during the industrial revolution, and apparently as a result of new info being cheaply available to all rather than just to an elite few as in other coutries, their industry developed much, much faster than elsewhere.

I really hope, that you do not include the British, as Europeans.

In 1973 we joined the European Economic Community or Common Market, and not the European Union.

Non British persons should be aware that Dave's appreciation of who the British are is compromised by confusion over his own identity. As a resident of Cumbria he imagines himself to be English and a descendent of the inhabitants of the ancient kingdom of Rheged. In fact he is a native of the ancient kingdom of Strathclyde and consequently Scottish to the core (and European too).

OK Ophiolite, I can run with that, except for the European bit.

I think Europeans wanted to still powerful beside the US and China; so that why they concluded a Union; because there is no European country who can face economically and diplomatically the US or China alone, neither France nor Germany.
Furthermore, the European Union isn't just an economical and political union; but a cultural connection too.

I'm glad for the EU. If it discourages the a set of nations, many of which are the size of Texas counties, from following their historic pattern of beating the crap out of one another every couple generations then it's a good thing.
