Thread: McCain/Palin (2 problems)

Two quick points on Republican ticket:

1. It is admitted that Sarah Palin gave birth to a genetically defective child. Why would people choose to vote for someone with such poor decision making abilities?

2. John McCain has made several public acknowledgements to his POW status in the Vietnam war. Why is he not hiding the fact that he failed in his duty as a soldier to fight unto death? He should be ashamed of his cowardly refusal to commit suicide rather than be captured. What a wuss! And now he whines about this, and uses it as a source of pride? He should have been beheaded for cowardice upon his arrival home in the United States. Do we want a coward and a deserter for President?

I don't think I have ever felt more in agreement with you Harold. (Well, I'm not sure if I've ever felt in agreement with you, but you know what I mean.)

Portcontrol, are you just trying to be controversial or do you believe that nonsense?

I'm trying to introduce a little humor into this whole debacle, I'm not completely devoid of emotion.

But in all seriousness, it is interesting to note that what one culture equates with heroism, other cultures have equated with cowardice.

And it's up to any individual whether they wish to bring a defective child into the world, but Palin would rob women of their choice in the matter. I'm no Democrat, but it's clear to me that Obama is the better choice here, if only for his progressive ideas.
