By this you mean the s- p- d- ansoonandsoforth orbitals or shells around an atom-core?is suspended between the orbits in which it is supposed to rotate
If so you're fresh out of luck because you do not get an electron "suspended" in between the two orbitals. Does not happen. Period. Go ask Max Planck.
Actually, Heisenberg would be the man to go to.
