I am curiuos to know what will happen if there is a hole along the length of a capillary tube. Will the liquid spill out or/and would that affect the capillary action?

If you mean a slot along it's length I suspect that if the slot was very narrow it would still behave as a capilliary action (since two plates can also exhibit cap action), certainly water would not flow out, remember though you are talking about sub-millimetric dimensions.

I suspect then water will fill the crack and go no further as with two plates.
