"Lab fireball 'may be black hole'

Creating the conditions for the formation of black holes is one of the aims of particle physics
A fireball created in a US particle accelerator has the characteristics of a black hole, a physicist has said.
It was generated at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) in New York, US, which smashes beams of gold nuclei together at near light speeds.

Horatiu Nastase says his calculations show that the core of the fireball has a striking similarity to a black hole."

    Ohh I love it

However, even if the ball of plasma is a black hole, it is not thought to pose a threat. At these energies and distances, gravity is not the dominant force in a black hole.
So if the thing happens to get in contact with more matter, somehow, someway it would grow at an extreme rate to unstoppable levels.

    Nice.

Nope, that wouldn't happen at those levels. So don't ready yourself for extinction quite yet but do learn a bit more about particle physics before becoming alarmed.

And the answers to the universe are coming though slow, but still coming aren't they?

it's great to read about our human development of epistemology.

Now if we could only learn how to fold space, and travel faster than the speed of light.

    Godless.

I'd rather see fusion developed so that we could have energy made cleanly, so to say.
