For calculating the Mass of Mars, one can derive m from the Period formula of the satellite Deimos around Mars

*link : look at 1:30 minutes in video : How Do Scientists Know the Mass of Mars? | The Classroom | Synonym

That formula contains the constant G

    >> Question 1 : Are there other ways of finding the mass of a planet in the solar system that do not use G ?

Not a trick question, i have no suggestions myself.

But to be honest about my intentions :
The value of G was derived from experiments on earth, yes ? (Cavendish, and modern variant below)

    >> Question 2: So is it certain that is will have the same value if we would do that experiment on another planet ?

*link for modern more accurate experiment for value G, just a slight difference though :
New measure of gravitational constant higher than expected

Is there any reason to expect that it won't?

When you come right down to it, how do we know it will be the same tomorrow as it was today? We don't know, but that's just how science works.
