    This one article claims that technology has been developed which potentially could make our bandwidth unlimited.
    Which breakthrough is still needed to make it really near unlimited?

    Sounds like he's talking about circular polarization. That's been around for a long time.

    Sounds like he's talking about circular polarization. That's been around for a long time.
    Not sure about this. I don't follow what they mean by photons having both orbital and spin angular momentum. I thought circular polarisation was a manifestation of spin - though my memory is very rusty on this. As for orbital angular momentum, it seems to raise the question of orbital about what?

    From what I know a solitons are solitary waves which could pass trough each other without changing their shape.
    Scientists report generation of microwave solitons.

    Does it mean we could establish radio communication with help of solitons without interference and with giant amount of bandwidths?
    Could there be such a thing as an OMNI-directional radiosoliton or they should be directed very precisely in the space?
