So I was watching a three part documentary on string theory, and on the second part they said something about the string being the gravitron particle? Did I hear them right can someone please explain?![]()

One of the vibrational configurations of strings is a massless, spin-2 particle. That matches the hypothetical (until now) graviton.
Ok that makes sense now, thank you

any massless spinn-2 particle wouldn't just 'match' the graviton - it would be a graviton
