Newton's 3rd law; the law of equal and opposite forces.

Punch your teacher in the face. The mass of his body times his acceleration in the backwards direction is equal to and opposite the force applied against your fist.

"... the polhode rolls without slipping on the herpolhode lying in the invariable plane."
    ~Footnote in Goldstein's Mechanics, 3rd ed. p. 202

Yes, go out and buy yourself a newtons cradle :-)

(or punch your teacher in the face)
The hand of time rested on the half-hour mark, and all along that old front line of the English there came a whistling and a crying. The men of the first wave climbed up the parapets, in tumult, darkness, and the presence of death, and having done with all pleasant things, advanced across No Man's Land to begin the Battle of the Somme. - Poet John Masefield.

Get a bamboo stick and wrap it with 3 layers of carpet. It is supposed to be as strong as a human hand. Now hit this with your hand as hard as possible. If u get your hand fractured then you will find the stick broken too. This is a direct test for Newton's 3rd law.

Take your hand and push it against the ground. If you feel anything the law is valid. If your hand goes straight through the ground and destroys everything and you feel nothing then the law is invalid.
