There are at least four classes of magnitudes. Scalars are magnitudes. Vectors have magnitudes. Magnitudes may also be associated with tensors and outer products (tensor products). The use of magnitudes of various classes simplifies the definition of a stressed field, A general metric may be obtained from a class defined field. The general metric will reduce to the Kerr-Newman metric.
