I'm a high school student interested in learning about nuclear reactions. After seeing uranium and heavy water for sale on, I've become fascinated with anything nuclear.

Does anyone recommend a good book for learning about nuclear reactions? I haven't taken chemistry or physics yet, but I am a fast learner and intelligent.

    After seeing uranium
What Isotope? All but the rearest isotope is useless.

    heavy water

I cant recommend you any books(I learned at uni), but I will guarentee you that 99% of the mythology surrounding the words 'nuclear', 'Uranium' or 'radiation' will be dispelled, by a decent course.
