    what does everyone think of string theory and do you believe it exists?

    If you do not understand string theory, then here is site that explains it pretty well I believe.

    I think it is a worthwhile endeavor and I find it fascinating. Whether it is correct or not, I have no idea. But I think sometimes when something is so elegant, that is a good indication that you may be on the right track. And of course there is the problem with actually testing the theory....

    Let me ask you a couple questions in return;
    In M-theory, there are 11 dimensions. Of course we are familiar with the 3 spatial and 1 temporal. Now the questions are...
    1. Do you think the extra 7 are real or just mathematical constructs?
    2. Do the extra 7 need to be spatial, or can some of them be temporal?

    Cheers,
    william

    that's a good link. I don't claim to understand string theory mathematically, but it seems like an intuitively good idea to me.

    well, that's those are tough quuestion to answer. well...maybe they could be both??? maybe some parts of the deminsion are mathmatecal while others are mathematical.

    I believe it's temperal, I don't know why though....

    I'm on the side of mathematical constructs they are just sub space manifolds within 3d space. Although their mathematical description alots them the extra dimensional room to breath.

    Yes I believe string theory exists. Though I understand it has some strings attached to it.
