    Has anyone seen this?

lookign into it further I found that the original inventor was laughed off since his design appeared to break the conservation of momentum law (since no mass was being ejected) yet his paper wasn't actually discredited.
Anyway, he went to china instead to get funding and researh grants and he recieved them and has just come out with a working model of this device.

''The prestigious Chinese Academy of Sciences has published a paper by Professor Yang Juan confirming their high power test results. At an input power of 2.5kW, their 2.45GHz EmDrive thruster provides 720mN of thrust. The results have clearly been subject to extensive peer review following the NWPU 2010 paper. The measurements were made on a national standard, thrust measurement device, used for Ion Engine development. Details of the measurement system and calibration data are given in the paper.''

Is this legit? From what I've read it seems legitimate...

    quantum_ripple,

Re: EM Drive, a new propulsion system for space and commercial (dare I say military) aircraft and maybe "flying cars." This seems like a very interesting possibility, but since such a project is probably top secret I find no details of the related technology except for this three year old article. Yang Juan's original paper, Chinese scientist, was published in Mandarin and I have not found any English translation of it. It says in the link below that a number of countries are working on this technology. Some details of the technology are available in the link below.

    Why disguise the URL?

Some forums don't allow new posters to post direct links.
Maybe he did it that way to get round that particular restriction.
