    I'm looking for the thermal properties of these isotopes of Hydrogen, such as specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity, but cannot seem to find them anywhere. If anyone knows of a few links, or remembers their properties off the top of their head, I would be grateful. I also would like to know, if specifics cannot be obtained, if the neutron count affects these properties at all in the first place.

    I found tha the specific heat of hydrogen (predominately H1) is ~1.42 kJ/kg K while for deuterium it is ~5.2 kj/kg K. From this, I'd say that it is reasonable to assume that the neuron count does have an effect.

    Ahh, thank you. I looked for a couple of hours but could not find a reasonable thermal comparison between the two. Those numbers are interesting though...since deuterium has a specific heat value over two times greater than protium...which you would normally not expect by looking at the mass difference and other specs. Any thoughts on this? Is this a quantum mechanical effect, relativistic, or just plain mechanical ?
