# Thread: Hypothetics: Time and Light

1. In a hypothetical situation, if you were to slow down time outside of your body. perhaps you have a bubble to seperate yourself from time or such, it doesnt really matter how its done, I'm more interested in what it'd be like while its happening
if you slowed down time, would you thereby change the frequency of radiation in relation to you?

If this is true, would the higher frequency spectrum(violet- ultraviolet) then become our visible light? as in violet = red? I know this is a stupid question and is nothing aside from hypothetical, I'm just curious.

EDIT: This is probably the wrong section too. I wasnt thinking when I posted this

Yes, you would.

Yes, it would.

If you observe another frame of reference, which is in motion in relation to you, you will find that frame to be time-dilated in relation to yourself. You will calculate that time is "running slower" in that other frame, and any light emitted from that frame will be "stretched", from your point of view, due to that time-dilation.

are you writing a book ?

No, But with some of the random thoughts that question aspects of the world and reality, I may as well be xD
